About the rental

1. For security reasons and to comply with the terms of the rental agreement, the lessee must and agrees to surrender his/her identity card or passport or driving licence to the company for the duration of the rental period. The document will be returned to him at the end of the rental period and the return of the bicycle in the condition in which he received it. For the duration of the bicycle rental, the company will provide the lessee with a copy of the document. Alternatively, the company will keep a copy of the lessee's identity card or passport or driving licence and a deposit of 300.00 euros for each bicycle, which will be returned to the lessee minus the cost of the rental and any costs incurred in the event of damage or loss of part of the bicycle. If the cost exceeds the amount of the guarantee, the lessee is obliged to cover it.
2. The lessee declares responsibly that he will not use the bicycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
3. The lessee is prohibited from lending, renting or giving away the bicycle.
4. The lessee is obliged to make prudent use of the lease, to observe the rules of public safety, the provisions for safe driving and the Highway Code.
5. The lessee was given and advised to wear a helmet while driving.
6. The lessee declares that before each rental he examines the bicycle and its operation and finds that it is to his absolute liking and that he receives it in excellent construction and functional condition. It does not proceed with a rental if there is a defect in the rental bike. The receipt of the respective bicycle also implies the above declaration - acceptance of all the terms and conditions of bicycle rental.
7. The lessee must be familiar with the use of bicycles and there must be no medical instruction/indication not to use.
8. Bicycles may not be rented by persons under the age of 18 unaccompanied by a parent or guardian.
9. The company bears no responsibility for any accidents or damage to the driver or third parties resulting from the lessee's bad behavior or driving, as well as for damage or damage to foreign property that will occur during the rental, the user driver lessee is solely responsible.
10. In case of damage to the bicycle during the rental, the lessee is obliged to inform the company and return the bicycle to the company.
11. In case of total destruction, loss or theft of the bicycle during the rental period or non-return of the bicycle, the lessee must compensate the company with the amount of 2,000.00 euros for each bicycle. In the event of damage to or loss of part of the bicycle or its accessories, the lessee must compensate the company with the corresponding replacement cost of the spare part/accessory.
12. The lessee is liable for any damage to the bicycle and equipment during the rental period, whether caused by him or not.
13. Minimum mandatory billing time is 12 hours (09:00-21:00). If the lessee returns the bicycle before the agreed period is completed, the company is not obliged to refund the money. If the lessee returns the bicycle later than the agreed time and day, the additional charge is 9.00 euros for a normal bicycle and 20.00 euros for an electric bicycle, per hour beyond the original agreed time and day of return.
14. Upon receipt of the bicycle, the lessee signs the rental contract containing the above terms and conditions.
15. In any dispute arising from the lease, Greek law is applicable and the courts of Ioannina are competent, while for any matter that is not expressly provided for here, the provisions of the Civil Code regarding the lease of property are also applicable.
